With the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and the handwritten registration number “B Dre / Bi 124” on the reverse. On smooth wove paper. 42.3 x 33.3 cm (16.6 x 13.1 in), size of sheet. [CH].
• Intimate drawing from the sought-after “Brücke” period.
• The female nude in the studio was one of E. L. Kirchner's and the “Brücke” artists' main motifs in these years.

Hermann Gerlinger, Katja Schneider (eds.), Die Maler der Brücke. Inventory catalog Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Halle (Saale) 2005, p. 318, SHG no. 716 (illu.).
Nude depiction made in the Dresden studio, in an overall good condition. Isolated crimped spots. Isolated small creases in the margins, somewhat more pronounced in the lower left and upper right areas of the sheet. Professionally closed tears in the corners and the left and right margins, paper with different degrees of ageing and slight brownish discoloration. The upper edge of the image with small paper losses and a small, bluish discoloration on the right. Upper left with subtle unobtrusive discoloration in the form of a rectangle and with a subtle discoloration running horizontally.
